Sign your Rithmic agreements
before you connect anything.
This is the step almost everyone misses. Rithmic requires every new account to accept its agreements once before any third-party application is allowed to connect. Until that is done, the login is refused — no matter which software you are using.
If you have seen a message asking you to log in using R|Trader or R|Trader Pro and sign the agreements, that is this. It is not a problem with your credentials and not a problem with SyncMyTrade.
Log in once at Rithmic’s own portal, or install R|Trader Pro and log in there, and accept what you are shown. It is a one-time step per account. Come back, add your connection, and it will go through.
Copying your Rithmic accounts
in six steps.
Do this before anything else. Log in once at Rithmic's own portal or in R|Trader Pro and accept the agreements shown to every new user. Skip it and the connection will be refused.
In SyncMyTrade, choose Rithmic and enter the username and password your prop firm issued you — the same ones you would use in R|Trader Pro.
Select your firm from the list and the gateway closest to you. Both come straight from Rithmic and must match what your firm gave you.
Every account on that login appears automatically — evaluation and funded alike. There is nothing to add one at a time.
Pick the account you intend to trade by hand, then select the accounts that should mirror it. Each follower gets a whole-number ratio from 1x to 10x.
Turn the group on and trade your leader. Orders replicate to every active follower, and any account can be toggled out of sync at any time.
System and gateway,
the two fields people get wrong.
Rithmic identifies your prop firm by an exact name, and it has to match the account you were issued. You select it from a list when you add the connection rather than typing it, so there is nothing to get subtly wrong.
Rithmic runs gateways across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, South America and Africa. Pick the one closest to you unless your firm tells you otherwise — the choice appears with the connection form.
Rithmic allows one market-data session at a time, which is why opening a second charting platform can knock out the first. SyncMyTrade does not take that session — your charts keep their data while copying runs.
Rithmic accounts and
everything else you trade.
Most traders on Rithmic are not only on Rithmic. A copy group can hold Rithmic accounts alongside accounts on the other connections SyncMyTrade supports, so one trade covers all of them.
A Rithmic account can lead the group, follow another account, or sit in a group led by an account on a different connection entirely. Each follower keeps its own ratio and can be toggled out of sync without touching the others, and contract specifications are mapped between platforms so the same order lands correctly on each — provided every account uses a connection SyncMyTrade currently supports.
What SyncMyTrade does
and does not do.
Yes. One leader drives every follower in the group, each with its own ratio and its own sync toggle. Bracket and OCO orders are copied, not just market entries.
Yes. Copying happens in the cloud, so it keeps running whether or not your computer is on. There is nothing to install and no machine to keep awake.
Yes. Continuous leader–follower integrity checks compare each follower against the leader and act when a mismatch is detected, so an account that stops matching does not sit unnoticed.
No. Rithmic is the connection your firm sits on, not the rulebook. Whether copy trading is permitted, and between which account types, is set by your prop firm — check their current rules.
No. Trailing drawdown and consistency requirements are enforced by your prop firm on their side. Sizing your followers so you stay inside them is your decision.
