Does Apex allow copy trading?
Yes. Apex’s help centre states that copy trading across Performance Accounts held under your personal name and your business name is allowed.
One condition comes with it: the hedging rule still applies, so all of your Performance Accounts have to trade in the same direction and must not hedge against correlated assets. Copying naturally keeps your accounts on the same side — the risk comes from trading an account by hand while it is following, or toggling one out of sync while it still holds a position.
Apex also caps how many active Performance Accounts you may hold across your household, your companies and every connection, counting Rithmic, Tradovate and WealthCharts together. Evaluations are not capped. Going over the limit is treated seriously, so check the current number before you scale.
Prop firm rules and platform availability change. Review Apex’s current rules before you rely on any of this.
Which Apex accounts actually work?
Connect with the username and password Apex issued you, plus your system and gateway. Sign your Rithmic agreements once before you connect, or the login will be refused.
Sign in on Tradovate’s own page and your accounts import automatically. Orders you place through TradingView into that account are copied too, and NinjaTrader accounts reach SyncMyTrade the same way.
Apex also sells accounts on WealthCharts, which has a copier of its own. SyncMyTrade does not connect to it. This matters more at Apex than elsewhere: the platform is chosen when you buy, conversions between platforms are not permitted, and an account bought on the wrong one is not refunded. Check before you subscribe.
Copying your Apex accounts
in six steps.
Apex sells accounts on Rithmic, Tradovate and WealthCharts, and the choice is made at purchase. Check your welcome email or dashboard before you start.
Tradovate accounts connect by signing in on Tradovate's own page. Rithmic accounts use the username and password Apex issued you, plus your system and gateway.
Every account on that login appears automatically — evaluations and Performance Accounts alike. There is nothing to add one at a time.
Choose the Apex account you intend to trade by hand. That is the only account you place orders on.
Select the accounts that should mirror it and give each a whole-number ratio from 1x to 10x. They can be other Apex accounts, or accounts at other firms.
Turn the group on and trade your leader. Orders replicate to every active follower, and any account can be toggled out of sync at any time.
Apex already gives you
Tradovate Group Trade.
If every account you run is on one Tradovate login and you trade plain entries, Tradovate’s built-in Group Trade may be all you need — Apex enables it automatically. Four places where it stops, according to Apex’s own guide:
Apex's own guide states that Tradovate's Group Trade forbids the use of bracket orders (ATMs), and points traders to NinjaTrader if they need them. SyncMyTrade copies brackets and OCO orders on every paid plan, with the take-profit and stop-loss legs tracked on the follower.
Apex also notes that Group Trade cannot be used from within TradingView — it only works inside the Tradovate platform. Orders you place through TradingView into a connected Tradovate account are copied by SyncMyTrade like any other order.
Group Trade copies between Tradovate accounts on one login. If some of your Apex accounts are on Rithmic and others on Tradovate, they cannot sit in the same Tradovate group. In SyncMyTrade they can share one copy group.
Group Trade stops at Tradovate. A SyncMyTrade group can hold your Apex accounts alongside accounts at other firms, provided each account uses a connection we currently support.
Your Apex accounts and
everything else you trade.
An Apex account can lead the group, follow another account, or sit in a group led by an account at a different firm entirely — Rithmic and Tradovate side by side, plus the other connections SyncMyTrade supports. Each follower keeps its own ratio and can be toggled out of sync without touching the others, and contract specifications are mapped between platforms so the same order lands correctly on each. Every account has to use a connection SyncMyTrade currently supports, and each firm’s own rules still govern its own accounts.
What SyncMyTrade does
and does not do.
Yes. One Apex account leads and the others follow, each with its own ratio and its own sync toggle. Evaluations and Performance Accounts can both take part.
Yes. Copying happens in the cloud, so it keeps running whether or not your computer is on. Apex notes that Rithmic is not natively Mac-compatible — that applies to running Rithmic's own desktop software, not to your followers copying in the cloud.
Yes. Continuous leader–follower integrity checks compare each follower against the leader and act when a mismatch is detected, so an account that stops matching does not sit unnoticed.
No. Apex caps active Performance Accounts across your household, companies and connections. Staying inside that limit is your responsibility, and SyncMyTrade does not track it.
No. Apex enforces its trailing threshold and consistency requirements on their side. Sizing your followers so you stay inside them is your decision.
