Does Lucid allow copy trading?
Yes, and unusually plainly. Lucid states that automated strategies and in-platform or third-party trade copiers are permitted, and that traders are responsible for any software errors or unintended outcomes. Few firms put it that directly.
The rule that shapes how you use one is their hedging policy. Lucid prohibits hedging, and says so specifically across multiple accounts and across correlated instruments held in different accounts. Lucid also caps how many active evaluation and funded accounts a household may hold, so check the current numbers before you scale a group.
Prop firm rules and platform availability change. Review Lucid’s current rules before you rely on any of this.
It is the connection that matters.
Lucid offers a long list of platforms, but they sit on two connections. Which chart you prefer does not decide whether copying works — which connection your account uses does.
Sign in on Tradovate’s own page and your accounts import automatically. Lucid’s NinjaTrader and TradingView options run on this connection, so orders placed there are copied like any other.
Connect with the Lucid-issued username and password, plus your system and gateway. Lucid’s Rithmic-connected platforms — Quantower, MotiveWave, Tradesea, Sierra Chart, Bookmap, ATAS, MultiCharts, Jigsaw and R|Trader Pro among them — all sit on this one connection. Sign your Rithmic agreements once before you connect.
Copying your Lucid accounts
in six steps.
Lucid offers platforms on two connections. What matters for copying is whether your account sits on Tradovate or on Rithmic, not which chart you use.
Tradovate accounts connect by signing in on Tradovate's own page. Rithmic accounts use the Lucid-issued username and password, plus your system and gateway.
Every account on that login appears automatically — evaluation and funded alike. There is nothing to add one at a time.
Choose the Lucid account you intend to trade by hand. That is the only account you place orders on.
Select the accounts that should mirror it and give each a whole-number ratio from 1x to 10x.
Turn the group on and trade your leader. Orders replicate to every active follower, and any account can be toggled out of sync at any time.
Your Lucid accounts and
everything else you trade.
A Lucid account can lead the group, follow another account, or sit in a group led by an account at a different firm entirely — Tradovate and Rithmic side by side, plus the other connections SyncMyTrade supports. Each follower keeps its own ratio and can be toggled out of sync without touching the others, and contract specifications are mapped between platforms so the same order lands correctly on each. Every account has to use a connection SyncMyTrade currently supports, and each firm’s own rules still govern its own accounts.
What SyncMyTrade does
and does not do.
Yes, on the Tradovate and Rithmic connections. One account leads and the others follow, each with its own ratio and its own sync toggle.
Yes. Copying happens in the cloud, so it keeps running whether or not your computer is on. There is nothing to install.
Yes. Continuous leader–follower integrity checks compare each follower against the leader and act when a mismatch is detected.
No, and Lucid is explicit that you do. They permit third-party copiers while placing responsibility for software errors and unintended outcomes on the trader.
No. Lucid caps how many active evaluation and funded accounts a household may hold. Staying inside that limit is your responsibility, and SyncMyTrade does not track it.
